Planning Your
Day
Nothing was
more frustrating to me than a busy day when the only thing I
accomplished was adding more tasks to my mental to-do
list.
Though the day has ended my body fails to relax
because the stress of the seemingly impossible work loads.
Have you ever felt that your day controls your schedule?
Do the problems throughout the day continually take
precedent over what you previously had planned? This is
how my day went until one afternoon I realized that if the
President of the United States has enough time in his day
to run arguably the most powerful nation in the world,
then I, nation of one, have enough time to handle my
personal workload. But, I knew that I had to be missing
something because I could not handle my workload. So I
began to read and study how successful people plan their
day and when I did I realized that I was thinking about my
day, not planning it. Using their principles I have
adopted my own method that has helped lift a huge weight
off of my chest.
Here are 8
points to assist you in planning your day.
1.
Plan Tomorrow Today. Research has shown that when you plan out
your day before you go to sleep your subconscious mind goes to
work devising ways to fulfill the plan that you
created.
2.
Write Down Set Appointment and Activities. Include realistic
time frames of these activities including travel time. A mental
list is not a list. Take the time to write out your
list.
